During this session, we explored how social media can help charitable organisations amplify their message, engage supporters, and reach new audiences.

Founders Story
Dan began his digital marketing journey over 25 years ago, evolving from designing Teletext ads to delivering comprehensive digital marketing services and social media strategies across industries worldwide. Recognising the challenges business owners faced in balancing operations with their online presence, he launched Conquest Social Media to provide expert social media management at accessible rates.
His passion for communication later inspired an innovative approach for schools, helping them transition from unread newsletters to real-time social media updates that connect parents and foster stronger communities. Today, Conquest combines strategy, creativity, and insight to offer effective business social media solutions that help businesses, charities, and schools thrive online.
Dan’s strong sense of community runs through both his personal life and Conquest Social Media. Under his leadership, the business social media efforts actively support local causes through charity work, grassroots sports sponsorship, and pro bono social media training for not-for-profits.
Personally, Dan served as a Borough Councillor from 2015 to 2023, holding senior roles including Portfolio Holder for People & Place, and was honoured to serve as Mayor of Surrey Heath in 2018/19.
His professional achievements include being elected a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing in 2020, joining the Worshipful Company of Communicators in 2023, and receiving the Freedom of the City of London in 2024.
Dan lives in Camberley with his wife, Sarah, and has two grown-up children. In the very limited spare time he does have, he enjoys travelling and can often be found in his beloved Spain. In fact, it's not unusual for clients to find their business social media posts and social media management taking place at 36,000ft. This further emphasises how connected our world really is and proves that land barriers form no obstacle to digital communications.
